The concept of dirt is simple.  Use what you have.  Right now.

It isn't just applicable in church or service programming.  It's everywhere.

In your garage working on the lawn mower.
Helping pay a student to get through college.
Doing your own taxes.
Saving a girl's life in Honduras.

Dirt applied today negates the excuse of "I only have..." tomorrow.  We can all think of times when we've said it.  I can only do so much.  I'm only one person.  I can't pay my bills now...how can I expect to help someone else?

Dirt is all about creative people coming together to learn together - how to create something from nothing.  And we're applying it inside the church....but it goes so much further than that.  A good friend of mine, Daley Hake - is part of a small group of people who aren't making excuses.  The same ones I make when I can't do something on a church stage...."I don't have a working hazer...".  We can afford to say that sometimes.  We can't afford to look away when someone is being sold into sex trafficking.

She Dances is a movement to help rescue 12 young girls under 17 years old in Honduras.  They just need somewhere to stay.  We're not trying to end slave trade...but we are trying to put a roof over the heads of just a few girls.  From there...who knows.

"Every girl deserves to dream. Every girl deserves hope. Every girl deserves to love and to be loved. Every girl deserves to dance. When she dances she is alive… when she dances she is free. She's free to live, to laugh, to love. She's free in her heart… she's free in her spirit. Hope moves within her… beauty finds her. She Dances. "
